Practice Description:
Joe’s practice focuses on a broad range of transactional matters. He enjoys assisting clients with all types of real estate transactions including sales and acquisitions, leasing, financing, planned community documentation, easements and title work. Joe also assists clients with a variety of business and corporate transactions. If transactions require dispute resolution, Joe is also experienced in representing clients throughout all phases of litigation. In addition to transactional based litigation, Joe also represents owners, lenders, general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers in resolving disputes through both litigation and alternative dispute resolution.

Representative Matters:
  • Represented developer in the purchase and construction of a mixed use retail and residential condominium project on a city-owned brownfields site.
  • Advised multiple construction companies on corporate structure and prepared supporting corporate documentation.
  • Served as counsel for land owner in negotiation of build to suit lease with coffee franchise on complex site shared with multiple users.
  • Represented major utility company in eminent domain actions for significant expansion of transition lines.
  • Counseled private lender with the purchase and sale of corporate entity interests, loan transactions and real property matters for residential development land located throughout the western United States.
  • Represented a nonprofit research institution in negotiating a lease for office and wet lab space in a newly developed research facility.
